PREVAILING WINDS

“Beloved, I fear for our country,” I wrote to You today,
Committing the sin of not trusting You, my Captain, all the way.

The dark clouds gather, like an El Greco sky.
What will survive the storm that appears likely by and by?

¾ of the world, You said would be destroyed.
“Said in My Language only,” You added in an afterword.

Did You add that because people were freaking out?
All these years we’ve at least had the comfort of Your ambiguity’s doubt.

I know I’m only anxious for the most selfish of reasons:
identifying with my body and its above-ground living seasons.

If only I could see everything through Your Eyes
and know that Who We Really Are eternally survives!

I and the world seem to be projects now of dismantling preceding reconstruction.
Help me to find YOU in every image of both creation and destruction.

*Magus: "The gist of it is that the Sadgurus or Qutubs, Drops-become-Ocean, have their separate individuality, and that individuality is their identity as Masters of the Ocean of Infinity—the Magi; whereas the Buddha, the individuality of the e Ocean is the Infinity of the Ocean—Magus." p. 295, THE NOTHING AND THE EVERYTHING by Bhau Kalchuri (points given to Bhau by Meher Baba)
