"The Soul in Darkness Is Very Close to Light" (1989)
This painting mirrors my own experience...more than once, actually. I painted it in 1989. I don't know what became of the original. Two days ago, I found a tiny photo of it, and spent a couple hours digitally restoring it this morning, and feel very happy about that! I consider this, for me, a "major work". It grew on me over the years in its absence, as I came to really how very much it (at least I feel) says.
